UCLan is preparing to make the student experience as authentic as possible for new and returning students in September. But from September, teaching will be a mixture of face-to-face an online learning, with the campus open seven days a week to allow for more flexible timetabling. There will be fewer students on campus at any given time. Students will have full access to the library on days they are timetabled to be on campus and lectures will be delivered online to give students a flexible and interactive mode of study. Support will be in place for any students who need to quarantine — including international students arriving from overseas. What do you think of the support measures UCLan is putting in place? Not sure how to prepare? Here are our top tips for impressing your interviewers…. The MMIs at UCLan consist of a circuit of 8 different stations, each is 7 minutes long with 5 minutes for an activity and 2 minutes reading time before the activity. Each station has an assessor who may be a scientist, clinical teacher, patient volunteer or actor. Try to make sure you really use the two minutes reading time to get to grips with what you are being asked to do and start thinking about how you may respond to the activity.
If you apply for medicine at UCLan you will be asked to fill out a transferable skills statement which is used as part of selection for interview, but it is also used in one the MMI stations. Guidance for filling out this form can be found on the UCLan website here. As this form is also used in interview, make sure you remember the experiences you wrote about — it would be worth keeping a copy of it to look back over before your interview! Be ready to discuss these experiences in more detail at interview.
If you get invited to interview at UCLan you must provide a satisfactory enhanced DBS check or international equivalent.

I really like my work and dont see what the harm in finding love there. Going to English-speaking schools and speaking another language. What is your favourite thing about London? A lot of our food. Its just such diversity. Now I have no one in my head but South people. Sometimes I cant believe how different London is to anywhere else in the world, but we can hardly imagine it without London. I dont want to be isolated from societys expectations. I spend most of it with people I dont even know.

Spaces have been designed to offer variety, from vibrant social spaces to quiet study areas. The building is arranged to face the new Adelphi Square with a graceful, sweeping elevation, taking its alignment from the Adelphi Pub and the entrance to the new Engineering Building. This space continues inside the building, with a full height open space.
